More About the Humsafar Song

Humsafar begins with just Mansheel’s voice. Her part of the song gave a Qawali touch that was indeed very emotional and soothing. Sachdeva did his debut here but it was quite a path breaking performance . His voice is quite similar to Atif Aslam’s voice and the song therefore has been sung in a low scale. Like Atif, Sachdeva has the same depth and a bit of baritone. So the song has a different groove and an amorous aura about it. The lyrics are very passionate and talks about how important the beloved is to the lover, and how she has kept him captivated and enchanted. Any girl will melt into ice if her lover dedicates and sings this to her. The song has a happy note to it. The 8/8 beats are slow and soothing. What makes the song more enthralling is the transition of beats from slow to fast and then again to slow. The guitar, the synthesizer and the use of a mouth instrument was indeed a brilliant idea as that made the song sound even more romantic.

The song is very catchy. It won’t be a difficult task to cover it on other instruments like piano or guitar. The vocals are powerful and reach out to the listeners with just the sole quality of emotions hidden in them. The song has a beautiful meaning and through the romantic lyrics, it speaks a lot to the listeners. The mixture of Punjabi and Hindi and usage of some Urdu words imparts to the song a different sensation. The song has a span of about 3 minutes and 35 seconds and in this duration it doesn’t fail to win the hearts of those listening to it for the first time. This serenading melody is blissful and will make you listen to it on loop. It promises one thing that it will serve as a mood enhancer on a date night or act as a good apology after a fight. Sachdeva has done a brilliant job indeed and has given us a melody that is praiseworthy.
