Sochta Hoon – Dekhte Dekhte Chords – Guitar (with Capo & without Capo) | Atif Aslam

Sochta Hoon – Dekhte Dekhte Chords – Guitar | A beautiful rendition of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s hit Qawwali song “Sochta Hoon Ke Woh Kitne Masoom Thay” we have one of the most precious voices of the world, Atif Aslam singing Dekhte Dekhte from the movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu, the music given by Rochak Kohli and penned by Manoj Muntashir. This track is sort of a breakup song which has two lovers remembering their love relationship, the soulful voice gives a whole new meaning to the original song and the lyrics really leave a lasting effect on the listeners. Atif Aslam is known to sing the most beautiful melodies and really elevates the song on another level making the track tread the path of immediate success; and this talent of his has struck a chord with today’s youth on such a level that it almost became the fastest song to reach at 20 million plus views in 24 hours.

The listeners don’t listen to this track from their ears but their hearts, the lyrics are magical. When I first listened to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s version, I fell in love and was almost sure that no rendition or recreation could surpass this. But I was struck clean bowled when I gave this 3 minute song a listen. One whole listen was all it took me to put it and claim it as a world wind change in Bollywood Love Songs. Beware, this song might just hold a special place in your heart; the use of acoustic guitar, the melody, the beats they all bind together so well, but again there is a touch of the shehnai and harmonium which gives the song an earthy tone.

We as listeners sometimes forget the strength in the singer’s voice and the importance of it, Atif Aslam’s voice is the most refined, it’s extremely smooth and it feels as if he’s hitting the hit notes with no efforts. Plus, the tonal quality is par excellence; it’s majestic and really pulls the strings in your heart.

This song, in terms of emotionalism reminds me of “Main Rang Sharbato Ka” which again was such a heart touching track, and the whole song is driven by its lyric, just like this one. If this song is a hit it’s almost solely because of the lyrics and the melody. Besides that, it’s a very easy song to learn on your guitar and perhaps maybe with a little bit of practice and training an easy song to sing too.
This song really, in its true spirits, does justice to the original song, the impact of the lyrics never fades and remains intact, it really compels you to feel each and every word of the song on the deepest level.

It might even be safe to say that this song is one of the greatest tributes to a legend.
