KALANK – Guitar: Tabaah Ho Gaye Guitar Chords

The best thing about a period film apart from the regal costumes and the majestic backdrops is the magnificent music. And when the composer is the creative genius Pritam Chakraborty himself, we can expect another masterpiece to be born. The song was penned by the poetic Amitabh Bhattachrya and sung by the melodious and mellifluous Shreya Ghoshal. The song sings about the pangs of separation undergone by the heartbroken lover and the phenomenal Madhuri Dixit’s enchanting Kathak performance keeps the viewers under a spell.

Song Information: This song has used diverse exotic instruments very creatively and artfully. The instruments used are- bagpipes, ney, qanun, Sitar, glockenspiel, bass, tabla, dholak, strings, violins, viola, cello, contrabass. The orchestra that has been performed here is indeed a masterful piece of work and it is by far the most unique song ever composed by Bollywood. The track very creatively synchronises the various instruments and the percussions to give that immensely heavy and classical beat making the melody ideal for a performance on Kathak or Bharatnatyam. The song has the Padhant recitals very marvellously performed. This melody is rich in classical overtones and Shreya Ghoshal has done a very commendable job as usual. Her intensely rich classical and dulcet vocals have given this melody that mellow feel and a doleful aura. The lyrics are wistful and pensive and grieve about the bittersweet parting from the beloved that is causing a lot of agony to the heartbroken lover. The song captures the feel and mood of an ethnic ancient period, essentially the 1940s backdrop. The music itself wins our hearts. The alaap, antara and the mukhra have a very soulful effect and the chorus is quite splendid as the singers have done a praiseworthy job there. The song can be covered on other western instruments like the piano and the guitar, but the guitar chords are a bit challenging in this case and a bit of proficiency is required on the guitarist’s part.
